Are U.S. government security clearances required for all position openings?
Most technology opportunities, as well as many administrative/support openings, require some level of security investigation (usually by the U.S. Department of Defense). In any position where a candidate must access classified information there will be an investigation. A pre-requisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship. When a current security clearance is required (or preferred) for a given position, that information will be listed in the description. DCS will apply for the appropriate clearance on behalf of an employee as long as the employee is considered clearable.
